Perhaps I need to move to a warmer climate!
In my youth, helmets were all open-face and if you wore one, that's what you got. Returning to motorcycling about 5 years ago, that's what I bought and, on an old-style bike with a big screen, it was fine.

I swapped to a more modern bike and went for one of these Nitro helmets because my daughter had one and was very happy with it. It has a good safety rating. I found it much warmer on the chin than my old one and very comfortable to wear but the visor did not seem to seal very well and there was a very cold draught blowing constantly on my eyes. I've modified the seal with sticky foam but the problem still persists to some extent.

I realise that there has to be airflow over the visor to keep it clear and I have no way of knowing if all full face helmets suffer in this way. Perhaps my expectations were too high! Perhaps I need to move to a warmer climate! I still prefer it to an open-face helmet for the cold weather though.
