Received my Profile Design RM system 1 mount bottle cage yesterday and was well impressed with the solid built. Fitted it to my road bike in preparation for the Chiltern 100 sportive. Loaded it up with 2 x 750ml bottles. One with energy drink, the other with 2 x inner tubes and some tools. The very first pothole I hit after about 3 miles into my sportive, and bye bye goes my energy drink. At about the 80 mile mark, a guy tells me I lost a bottle - yep, now I have no inner tubes or tools. So I have a great cage rig that was absolutely useless to me on the day. To add insult to injury, I bonked after 103 miles of the 111 mile ride. Maybe if I had that extra energy drink!
So, I give this 3* as it is a fine unit and holds not only 2 x bottles, but your air canisters. But be warned that the UK roads may not be compatible with the Profile Design RM system 1 mount bottle cage. Next time I will secure my bottles with extra rubber bands or some such.
