On the whole a good buy - some care needed with folding
The Halcyon Porto arrived quickly and was packaged well. The manual is OK but some of the wording requires a degree in bike anatomy! Assembled in about an hour with some puzzling over phrases in the manual but was fine when finished. The gearing is good (7 speed) but a little low if you want to get up to higher speeds on a flat road. Seems essentially to be a short trip urban machine rather than a tourer. I am nearly 6' tall but felt reasonably comfortable on the bike, tho a little unbalanced at times. Folding up took no time at all, and unfolding a matter of a minute. However - on first doing this the rear brakes developed a fault and half an hour of brake cable adjustment failed to cure it. The problem proved to be a trapped cable in the folding frame (cables rune thro the frame to the rear). This is probably very easy to do and if it happened often could seriously damage the cable (dangerous!). Otherwise the bike is very sturdily built - just mind that cable!
