Best semi-knobbly MTB tyres for me, so far. Can be easily damaged.
Compared to my previous tyres (2.2" Mountain King Protection), these have equal-if-not better grip except in very cloggy mud, are lighter, and are faster.
I am 1.83m and 79kg with usual cycling gear on: I run these tyres at 50psi usually (Hampshire trails, South Downs bridleways and well-worn off-road cycling routes). Have ridden with a pair of these tyres for 15mths and I can confirm that their puncture resistance is top-notch. But I have also noticed that the sidewalls are prone to grazes, scratches from stones/rocks and (eventually) complete splits. The X-King RaceSport is less prone to this, I have noticed.
It is an excellent racing-capable tyre for normal British conditions. Low rolling resistance (fast on the road and hard-pack trails), light weight, easy to put on and take off, and fine grip in anything apart from extreme mud (and wet chalk.....but find me a tyre that can cope with that!). I find the front of the bike to be very very stable with the 2.2"...
