I purchased this saddle after trying out plenty of different more modern designs from other manufacturers (Fizik, Bontrager, & Giant - to name just three) and comparing them with the saddle my Dad uses on his road bike. I applied the Brooks leather saddle profide to the saddle the night before riding with the saddle for the first time, and after riding for about 2 hours on the first day it was the most comfortable ride I've ever had on a road bike.
